Columbia Grafonola Mignon Console PhonographCircassian Walnut For the advanced collector: a nice, all-original example of a very, very rare model. Only three (3) Mignon s made of Circassian walnut are known to exist. The grain patterns on this wood are simply magnificent. The matched Circassian walnut is used on all four sides, the lid, and even inside the doors, inside horn box, storage compartment, etc. Measures 17 wide x 21 deep x 45 high (when closed). Condition is superb, some very slight alligatoring on the outside of the lid, and a few very, very minor nicks in the moldings. The chippendale feet are undamaged (no casters).The 12 turntable, tone arm, reproducer, etc., are all original and mint. And yes, the decal is original and perfect.Everything is original and complete, plays perfectly, etc. The original key fits both the original locks on the upper lid and lower compartment. I have had the motor serviced and oiled quite recently.I am primarily a music box collector and dealer, but I ve got a few phonographs to keep company with their older counterparts, such as a Victor XX, Edison Opera, Sonora Grand, Berliner A , etc. They all get along well!
